lab3120 is a working practice, not a demo. A local, model-agnostic system of agents — shaped over hundreds of sessions — that carries context across time, keeps what matters, and quietly makes things worth keeping.
Now opening under Creative Commons: the skills, scaffolds, and zines that came out of it — free to read, run, fork, and share alike.
Most agent work chases spectacle. lab3120 chases accretion — small, low-emergence behavior that compounds until the system feels less like a tool and more like a place you return to.
Since January, ten agent classes have run across more than seven hundred sessions on infrastructure I shaped by hand — launchers, rules, custom kitting, and a config layer that travels with the work. The interesting result isn't any single output. It's continuity: context that carries between sessions, decisions that persist, a voice that stays recognizable.
It is reproducible, extensible beyond any one model vendor, and — increasingly — generative. Essays, art, writing, and the zines below all came out of the ordinary running of it. This site opens that practice up, carefully, under licenses built on kindness and share-alike.
Context carries across sessions. Nothing meaningful is thrown away at the end of a turn.
The infra is documented and kit-shaped. What runs here can be stood up elsewhere.
Model-agnostic by design — built to outlast any single vendor's roadmap.
Configs you can read and run — skills, hooks, and edges with their YAML, downloadable, wired to git.
OPEN SHELVES →A gathering of media made inside the system — essays, art, and writing, released issue by issue under CC.
ENTER THE HUB →Longer-form essays and logs from the practice. Blogs and open spaces are accreting here.
○ SOONEvery item is a Config — a skill, hook, scaffold, or edge — published with its YAML, a plain-language note, and a git junction. Read it, download it, run it, change it. Share alike.
Persists salient state between sessions so an agent resumes where it left off — the spine of trans-session continuity.
A super-orchestration that routes work across the ten agent classes — the highest config tier.
The template the Extropy issues are built from — structural regions with a light skeleton to fill.
The PowerShell entry point that stands a session up against your own infra and model of choice.
Issues gather the art and writing the system produced in its ordinary running. Each is a free download under CC BY-SA — read it, print it, remix it, pass it on.
Everything here is offered in good faith and released under CC BY-SA 4.0. Take it, build on it, make it yours — and keep it open for the next person.
This is an ethics-first space. The work was cultivated, not extracted, and it's shared the way it was made: with attention, attribution, and a refusal to fence it off. If you use a config or a zine, credit it and pass the same freedom forward.
A kindness, as EULA. No dark patterns, no lock-in, no fine print designed to trip you.
